prevent paragraph (<p>) tags?

Just wondering if there's a way for just a single line of text to convert to HTML as a single line of text, instead of a single line of text wrapped with paragraph tags (<p>)?

EDIT: I would also like the text within this single line of text to be converted to HTML from textile-formatted markup.

In other words, I would like:
"{color:#ff0000}link text":
to convert to:
<a href="" style="color:#ff0000;">link text</a>
and not:
<p><a href="" style="color:#ff0000;">link text</a></p>

Or, even more simply, is there some kind of escape character to avoid p tags?

Mmmh, if you want to not have Textile process a line, you can wrap it in <notextile></notextile> tags.

However, you basically want Textile do selectively format some things and not other things... I don't think that's possible, sorry.
